Quebec has recorded a further drop in hospitalizations linked to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

The number of occupied beds in Quebec hospitals has decreased by 38, according to the latest report. There are therefore still 1067 people hospitalized due to COVID-19. However, the province has four additional patients in intensive care (4, 28). The number of deaths linked to the virus has also increased by two since Thursday.

Quebec also recorded 542 new cases among people with access to screening centers and 184 positive tests were self-reported.

According to the Ministry of Health and Social Services, 3,940 health care workers were absent Friday due to COVID-19.

On the Ontario side, one less hospitalization was reported than the day before, for a total of 669. The number of people hospitalized also fell (-2, 117). In addition, eight new people have succumbed to COVID-19.

The province also recorded 888 new cases detected by PCR test.
