Quebec has recorded 14 more deaths linked to COVID-19, according to the latest report published by Public Health on Thursday.

All of these deaths occurred between two and seven days ago, it was said.

In addition, a total of 2,135 Quebecers occupy a hospital bed, including 734 due to the virus, an increase of 51 compared to December 29. Among them, 57 people are in intensive care, seven less compared to the same date.

Public Health also reported 1,217 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded at testing centers across the province, and 81 positive tests were self-reported on Wednesday.

Also, 2,870 health care workers are still absent from the network for reasons related to the virus, whether for preventive withdrawal, isolation or waiting for results.
