Arizona Coyotes forward Matias Maccelli will miss about six weeks of play with a lower-body injury sustained on Friday.

According to PHNX Sports reported Monday, the organization learned of the news this past weekend after the 22-year-old skater played less than five minutes in the game against the Los Angeles Kings.

Maccelli has three goals and 19 assists for 22 points in 30 games since the start of the campaign. He ranks second among National Hockey League rookies in this area, behind Matty Beniers (25 points) of the Seattle Kraken.

The “Yotes” will take over the collar by hosting the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.
