MADRID, 4 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer, the third largest aircraft manufacturer in the world, delivered a total of 62 aircraft in the first half of the year (24 commercial and 38 in the executive aviation segment), which is 35% more than in the six first months of 2022 when it delivered 46 devices, the company reported in a statement.

The company's data shows that a total of 47 aircraft (17 commercial and 30 executive) were delivered in the second quarter of the year, which increased deliveries by 47% compared to the same period last year.

While the number of commercial aircraft delivered in the second quarter rose by 55%, that of executive aircraft did so by 43%.

Embraer reported in its statement to the market that its firm order book last June amounted to 17,300 million dollars (15,798 million euros), with a slight reduction compared to December (17,500 million dollars).

The current backlog includes firm orders for 2,023 new aircraft, of which 833 of the E175 model and 568 of the E190, as well as 236 of the E195-E2, its largest commercial aircraft.

Among the contracts this year, the company highlighted the one it signed with American Airlines to sell the US airline another seven E175 model aircraft that will be operated by the subsidiary Envoy Air.

Likewise, the company highlighted Binter's order for six E195-E2 model aircraft, which will allow the Canary Islands airline to have a fleet of 16 second-generation Embraer aircraft.

Among other deals this year, the company also cited the sale of ten new E195-E2 model aircraft to Malaysia's SKS Airways and eight E190-E2 and E195-E2 aircraft to Royal Jordanian Airlines.

Among the deliveries, the 4 E175 aircraft to Star Air of India stood out, in addition to another 5 Embraer aircraft already operated by that airline.
