Deployment of connected objects: Videotron Business joins forces with EMnify

Videotron Business has chosen to partner with the German company EMnify to facilitate the connection of connected objects that are increasingly present in our daily lives and in those of Quebec businesses.

Above all, this partnership will make it possible to better manage the many SIM cards included in the majority of connected objects, which can be an obstacle to their adoption due to updates.

Designers and users of connected objects will therefore have the opportunity to manage their fleet of SIM cards from the EMnify platform and launch the update of all their devices simultaneously and remotely.

“We are now able to offer the connectivity, control, autonomy, as well as the simplified and transparent deployments that our customers require”, mentioned Wednesday by press release France-Éliane Nolet, vice-president Revenues and Strategy of business at Videotron.

Videotron Business customers will also be able to deploy their connected objects in 195 countries with this initiative.

The EMnify platform is not limited to cell phones, but also finds its applications outside homes, especially in cities.

“This solution applies to any type of connected object, whether urban lighting, sensors that measure the level of waterways, intelligent parking terminals, surveillance systems, tools for managing residual materials or managing automobile traffic,” enumerated Videotron.

“Videotron Business has always maintained a close relationship with businesses, cities and RCMs in Quebec. We have a constant desire to offer them the best possible technology to optimize their operations here and abroad. This partnership with EMnify allows us to invest even more in the digital transformation of our organizations and in the path of the future that are connected objects,” said Pierre Karl Péladeau, President and CEO of Videotron.

This is one more step in this sector for the subsidiary of Quebecor, which had already joined forces last September with the Quebec company X-TELIA.
