The telecommunications market has started 2023 just as it ended 2022, with Digi leading the acquisition of mobile and fixed lines with 38,000 and 10,200 new lines in January, while the three large operators are losing ground.

Thus, Telefónica has lost 20,800 fixed lines and 17,700 mobile, while Orange has lost 1,200 fixed lines, breaking a four-month upward streak, and 6,700 mobile, according to market data to which Europa Press has had access. and that they will have to be corroborated by the National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC).

In the case of Vodafone, the company has ceded 11,200 fixed telephone lines and 21,800 mobile telephone lines, while Avatel has continued to grow with 6,500 new mobile lines.

For its part, MásMóvil has maintained the commercial pulse, adding 7,000 lines and remaining practically stable in mobile, where it has lost less than 1,000 lines.

The Spanish market continues to be characterized by the turn to 'low cost' and a high number of portability, especially on mobile phones. According to official data from last year, no month has made less than 600,000 company changes.
