This was advanced by the Russian media Sport-Express on Tuesday.

The Philadelphia Flyers would also have chosen to ignore the skaters from Russia at the next amateur auction. Most NHL teams would not intend to impose constraints on their scouts.

Sport-Express does not mention the related reasons for the possible boycott of CH and the Flyers, but it is a safe bet that it would be a means of denouncing the invasion of Russia in Ukraine.

This has been going on since the end of February and the international community has multiplied actions to denounce the gesture. The world of sport has not escaped this, since Russia has notably lost the organization of many prestigious sporting events.

Russian athletes have also suffered reprisals, such as tennis players who will not be able to take part in the Wimbledon tennis tournament in July.

The NHL draft will take place on July 7 and 8 at the Bell Centre. The Canadian has 14 selections for this auction, including the first round.
