Driver angry at passing car smashes windshield, cops say

A driver angry at another motorist who passed him along an Upper Macungie Township roadway got out and smashed the windshield of the other driver, police said.

Charged are Antonio Hayden, 28, of the 1400 block of Hamilton Street in Allentown and Stefane Keigans, 22, of the 5100 block of White Birch Drive in Long Pond, Monroe County.

Hayden at 6:40 a.m. Feb. 9 was driving in the first block of Grim Road in a snowstorm when a 57-year-old male driver, living in the township, tried to pass his car, police said.

Hayden and Keigans allegedly got angry, got out of their car and Hayden smashed the victim's windshield with an unknown object, according to police.

Police are describing the incident as "road rage" and the drivers did not know each other.

Both Hayden and Keigan each are charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and traffic offenses.
