The Independent Investigations Bureau (BEI) has opened an investigation into the circumstances of a police intervention, after the discovery of the lifeless body of a woman in a wooded area, in Stuckely-Sud, in Estrie, on Sunday afternoon. .

It all started when an SQ police officer intercepted a vehicle around 5:25 p.m., while the driver left the scene uttering threatening remarks.

When the police were trying to find him in a residence on Robert-Savage Road, they were notified by a woman that an individual was trying to return to her home.

On site, the suspect who was arrested told the police that a 67-year-old woman was found dead in the woods outside a residence.

The man was taken to a hospital, but there is no fear for his life, according to the BEI, which will try to untangle the skein of this story, the nature of which is visibly nebulous.

Five investigators were in charge of the case, while a parallel investigation was entrusted to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
