Ezentis, immersed in negotiating a restructuring plan, says that there is no agreement for a specific operation

MADRID, 5 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Ezentis has claimed to be immersed in the negotiation of a restructuring plan within the framework of the pre-bankruptcy, without "to date" any agreement has been adopted regarding any specific operation.

"A negotiation process is being carried out within the framework of the preparation and approval of a restructuring plan with the creditors that ensures the continuity of the company, without any agreement having been adopted to date regarding any specific operation" , the company has indicated in a statement sent this Monday to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

"In any case, any possible operation would be subject, among others, to the mandatory approvals by the Company's administrative bodies and would be communicated to the market as soon as an agreement had been reached in this regard," he added.

This is how the company pronounced itself after the CNMV decided to temporarily suspend trading in Ezentis shares last Friday.

The CNMV indicated that the suspension will be lifted when relevant information about the firm is disseminated in the near future.

The company's titles closed last Thursday with a decrease of 10.2% in the Madrid parquet, after placing its price at 0.0890 euros.

On the same day as the suspension, 'El Confidencial' reported that José Elías is about to save Ezentis from bankruptcy, after the Catalan businessman requested voluntary bankruptcy on September 1st.

As indicated by financial sources to said medium, the company has reached an agreement with the bank to restructure the capital and debt, following the model that was used to rescue Pescanova. An operation that consists of a removal of about 75% of the loans and the creation of a new company that will keep the profitable business of the old Ezentis.
