A 48-year-old motorcyclist succumbed to his serious injuries after a violent road trip Thursday evening in Sainte-Sabine, in the Eastern Townships.

According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the accident occurred around 5:15 p.m. on 11th Rang North when the forty-something was about to start a curve.

Transported in critical condition to a hospital, the victim finally succumbed to his injuries during the night, said the SQ.

A collision investigation specialist was dispatched to the scene to try to better understand what caused the tragic accident.
