Police officers from the Sûreté du Québec seized a large quantity of narcotics, in addition to arresting four suspects, Wednesday, in the Val-d’Or sector, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

A total of four searches were carried out during the day on Sleepy Road, Route 117, Centrale Street and Iberville Street.

Two men and two women aged between 29 and 48 were pinned down. They were later released on a promise to appear.

They could face criminal narcotics charges.

During the searches, the police notably seized 14,500 methamphetamine tablets, half a kilo of cocaine, 8 kg of cannabis, nearly 500 grams of cannabis concentrate (wax), more than 1,500 ecstasy tablets, a firearm fire and ammunition, a crossbow, two vehicles and over $12,000 in cash.
