GAM will vote this Thursday for the re-election of its president, Pedro Luis Fernández, as executive director

MADRID, 21 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The ordinary general meeting of shareholders of General de Alquiler de Maquinaria (GAM) will vote this Thursday on the re-election of its president and founder, Pedro Luis Fernández Pérez, as executive director of the company, as reported by the company to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

The agenda presented for the meeting, which is expected to be held on first call, also reveals the re-election of Ignacio Moreno Martínez as independent director of the company and that of Patricia Riberas López, as proprietary director.

Among other matters, the shareholders will submit for examination and approval the annual accounts and the management report of the consolidated group of companies of which GAM is the parent company, corresponding to the year 2022.

Likewise, the proposal for the distribution of the result for the 2022 financial year will also be voted on, as well as the maximum amount of the annual remuneration of the members of the board of directors.

For its part, the rental company recorded a net profit of 900,000 euros in the first quarter of this year, compared to losses of 200,000 euros recorded in the same period of the previous year.

In turn, the turnover increased by 20%, up to 59.9 million euros, while the net operating profit (Ebit) grew by 86%, with 4.2 million euros.

For its part, GAM announced last May that it has registered a bond program in the Alternative Fixed Income Market (MARF) with a maximum outstanding balance of 100 million euros to reinforce the economic and financial situation of the group and improve its ability to compete in the markets in which it operates.

Through this program, GAM will be able to carry out one or successive issuances of senior rank simple unsecured bonds with any maturity period between one and seven years.
