In order to accommodate the approximately 1,000 cyclists of the Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie, the Jacques-Cartier Bridge in Montreal will be temporarily closed on Sunday from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Both directions will therefore be inaccessible, but access will be maintained for emergency services.

The lanes will reopen gradually from 1:45 p.m.

The multipurpose path and the sidewalk of the bridge will remain open to users during the closure period.

After crossing the bridge, cyclists will head on avenue De Lorimier and rue Sherbrooke Est. Obstructions are therefore to be expected on these arteries.
