GrowPro raises 1.5 million in a round led by Kfund

MADRID, 24 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Valencian 'startup' GrowPro Experience has closed a financing round of 1.5 million that has been led by Kfund with the aim of improving the technological platform, investing in marketing and attracting talent, as reported in a statement.

GrowPro is dedicated to organizing trips with a vocation for educational experiences abroad, including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Canada, the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Malta or Ireland. In 2022, it closed the year with 5,000 managed experiences and a turnover of 20 million, which they hope to increase to 60 million during 2023.

Kfund is the venture capital fund co-founded by Iñaki Arrola, the founder of the website 'coches.com', which was sold a year ago to Santander Consumer Finance.

GrowPro has highlighted Kfund's investment due to the fact that it has been profitable since its inception. In addition, they already had a relationship with the fund since the days before the pandemic. For its part, Kfund has experience in the sector from its work with Exoticca and for having supported the internationalization of its investees.

"For us, this round is a key milestone because it allows us to redouble our commitment to the digital product and grow to be the reference platform for medium and long-term study and lifestyle trips," said the CEO of GrowPro Experience, Goiko. Llobet.

"GrowPro is attacking an opportunity that fits perfectly with the fund's thesis, the bundling of experiences in a huge, fragmented, unstructured market and with a team with a very clear purpose," added Kfund investor Marc Clemente.

On the other hand, the company is also focused on the business segment, giving the possibility for travel agencies from Latin America and Spain to connect to its budgeting platform and take advantage of its technological innovation and the community that they generate at the destination. During 2022, this segment grew an average of 15% per month, already representing more than 10% of the company's total billing.

The company closed an investment round at the end of 2021, worth one million euros, in which the 'business angels' Javier López (founder of Erasmusu), Borja García-Fuster (CEO of All Iron Sports), Íñigo Juantegui (CEO of Ontruck) or Alejandro Artacho (CEO of Spotahome).
