A 33-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday evening after going off the road in Beaumont, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.

The swerve occurred around 9:30 p.m., at kilometer 337. The driver lost control of her vehicle and hit the central reservation at full speed, according to information from the Sûreté du Québec.

The driver was pronounced dead on the spot.

The scene was protected by a security perimeter to allow the reconstructionists to try to better understand the thread of events.
