The former US president said Thursday that Ivana Trump died in her New York apartment.
The autopsy would have been concluded on Friday, according to what police sources confirmed to the TMZ site.
The New York City Chief Medical Examiner's Office confirmed to ABC News that Ivana Trump "died of injuries sustained in a fall."
"I am very sad to announce to all those who loved her, and there were many of them, that Ivana Trump died at her home in New York", wrote Donald Trump on his social network Truth Social, without specifying the cause of his death on Thursday.
