The recipient of the Courteau League Most Sportsmanlike Player Award has six penalty minutes in 68 games with the Halifax Mooseheads this season. On offense, he amassed 109 points, including 39 goals.

For his part, Roy has totaled 22 penalty minutes in 66 games with the Sherbrooke Phoenix. He tallied 119 points, dominating the league in this regard and at the same time receiving the Jean-Béliveau trophy.

The other finalist for the Selke was Val-d'Or Foreurs center Justin Robidas, who spent 12 minutes in jail for all of his 68 games. To be eligible for the award in question, "the player must have demonstrated efficiency on the ice, demonstrate significant respect for opponents and officials and avoid the penalty box".
