Saturday, May 21, following a citizen's report, patrol officers from the MRC des Laurentides were called to go to the municipality of Huberdeau and discovered a body in the Rouge River, reported the Sûreté du Quebec.

The body has been identified, and on Friday afternoon, the SQ indicated that it was the body of Melanie Robillard, missing since the night of January 1, 2021.

The investigation is continuing to determine the causes and circumstances of this event.
