The police from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) tried around 12:15 a.m. to intercept the 19-year-old motorcyclist, who preferred to ignore the police sirens, by pressing hard on the mushroom.

Quickly located at a gas station along Highway 440, the driver of the motorcycle was arrested by the police who fined him $1,846 and 18 demerit points.

The biker, who had his license suspended on the spot for a period of seven days and his car seized for 30 days, risks facing criminal charges of dangerous driving and absconding, indicated the SQ.

“The motorcyclist could receive statements of offense because he would have crossed a red light, he would not have the appropriate class valid for driving a motorcycle in Quebec, the motorcycle would not be insured and the temporary registration would be expired,” added the SQ.
