“Les Choristes”: 80,000 tickets sold

The return to the stage of the play “Les Choristes” has so far attracted at least 80,000 spectators.

While its performances are just beginning at the Monument-National in Montreal, the play directed by Serge Denoncourt has just exceeded the bar of 80,000 tickets sold, Just for Laughs announced on Monday.

Adapted from the film of the same name, the play brings together on stage François L'Écuyer (Clément Mathieu), Henri Chassé (Director Rachin), Gary Boudreault (Father Maxence), Louise Cardinal (Violette Morhange), Michel-Olivier Girard (Professor Langlois) and Sacha Bolduc (Mongeau).

The young choristers were selected from among the choirs of the Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal and the Petits Chanteurs de Laval.

“Les Choristes” will be presented at the Monument-National until January 19.
