Maroto regrets the "bittersweet taste" of the overall result of the Perte VEC

BARCELONA, Nov. 10 (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, regretted having a "bittersweet taste" for the overall result of the Perte of the electric and connected vehicle (VEC) given the amount of aid awarded.

"We put a great ambition with the funds for almost 3,000 million because when you want to make an important change you have to put public resources. Indeed, we now have a bittersweet taste for the global result," he agreed in an interview in 'La Vanguardia' of this Thursday collected by Europa Press.

The minister has criticized the "limits established by the European Commission" for this aid and has predicted more flexible parameters in the second line of the Perte.

It has opened the door to new aid to complement the approved projects, which it has exemplified with aid for training, and has proposed that "new investment projects that appear" have additional financing.

Asked about the Seat-Volkswagen case, she celebrated that the decision on the investment plan "gives confidence and certainty" and insisted that the future battery gigafactory in Sagunto (Valencia) will attract new players.
