Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, every noon, Mr. Sasseville goes to the sidewalk in front of the Russian consulate, where he plays the Ukrainian national anthem, demanding an end to the military occupation of the country. . This peaceful demonstration lasts, each day, about fifteen minutes.

The employee in question had gone outside at noon to blow leaves near the consulate.

This same employee would then have jostled the stroller that the elected Montrealer had brought. This symbolizes “all the Ukrainian children who were killed by Russian troops”.

On Tuesday, this same employee would also have given the finger of honor to Mr. Sasseville, according to his words.

“He has been more and more aggressive lately. It's always the same, he covers us with insults, ”said Mr. Sasseville.

The elected municipal official indicated that he had filed a complaint with the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
