The center player from Richelieu was chosen at the 22nd level.

The 18-year-old forward played his third season in 2021-2022 with the Quebec Remparts organization, with whom he reached the semi-finals of the President Cup. After seeing his first two campaigns in the Courteau circuit cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, Gaucher has scored 31 goals and amassed 57 points in 66 games this season.
