In a short video where he shares his New Year's wishes, Mr. Legault called on the population to be introspective.

“I would also like us to realize that we are lucky to live in a place like Quebec, a magnificent territory, a safe place, a united people who help each other when it is difficult. This is Quebec and we should all be proud of that,” exclaimed the Premier.

More broadly, Mr. Legault wished health to all Quebecers, “the base” in his eyes. “It all starts with that: playing sports, having good lifestyle habits. We know it's important."

The Prime Minister also mentioned, indirectly, the labor crisis which is disrupting just about every sector of the economy and which has been on everyone's lips over the past year.

“For the younger ones, I wish you success in your studies. I know, it's cliché, but we need you, young people, in lots of sectors with a future, ”he recalled.

In another register, the Prime Minister also assured that he had taken the pikes that were directed at him during the end-of-year broadcasts with philosophy. A sketch of the “Bye Bye” taking up the framework of the series “Indefensible” notably staged a François Legault who had to consult his lawyers to learn, with clumsiness, how to answer questions from journalists during the election campaign.

“I would like to congratulate our craftsmen who, again this year, worked hard for the evening of the reviews of the year. It is true, I am often referred to in these programs because of my functions, but it is justified. Thank you for keeping this beautiful Quebec tradition alive!”, commented the main interested party.
