Opdenergy signs the financing of its 'La Francesca' project in Italy for 16.5 million euros

MADRID, 30 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The independent producer of renewable energy Opdenergy has signed the financing of its new 24 megawatt 'La Francesca' project in Benevento (Italy) for 16.5 million euros, as reported by the company in a statement.

The project is in the construction phase and intends to sell all the energy it generates to the market once its exploitation begins. It is estimated that it will produce more than 38 gigawatt hours of renewable energy each year, a figure that is equivalent to the consumption of 11,000 homes and that will mean a saving of carbon dioxide emissions of 11,000 tons per year.

With this project, Opdenergy consolidates its presence in the Italian market, where it installed its first power generation plants in 2010 and where it already has more than 1 gigawatt in development projects.

Opdenergy's CEO, Luis Cid, stated that "with the financing of this project, we continue to consolidate our presence in the strategic Italian market where we will continue to grow in the coming years thanks to the numerous projects that we have in advanced development".
