The opening ceremony of the 55th Final of the Quebec-Laval Games 2022 took place Friday at Place Bell. From July 22 to 30, Laval will host competitions featuring promising young athletes from 19 regions of the province.

Isabelle Ducharme, the CEO of Sports Québec, is accompanied by the mayor of Laval, Stéphane Boyer, the gymnast William Emard, who lit the cauldron of the Games, the minister and Olympic medalist Isabelle Charest as well as Yves Carignan, the president of the Games Board.

Two excellent cyclists from Lac-Saint-Louis, Simone Huot and Mathilde Charron.

The Chaudière-Appalaches region can rely on Audrey-Ann Lacasse, Lourie-Anne Bouchard, Aurélie Gingras and Amanda Prévost.

Among the players of the Laval region baseball team, we find Alexander Acosta, Thomas Rémillard, Lou Roberts-Cloutier and Daniel Lizardo.

The Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region can count on a group of enthusiastic athletes.

The Games are being held at 15 competition sites, with a trio of coaches from the Lanaudière region made up of Emy Dagenais, Ariane Bouchard and Frédérique Dénommé.

This year the athletes will compete in 17 disciplines. In this photo, we can see the delegation from the Capitale-Nationale.

Jérémie Tardif, Nathan Lalumière, Antoine Olivier, Sara-Maude Nault and Justine Beauchesne represent Estrie at the Laval Games.
