Orange invoices 10,823 million in the third quarter, 3% more

The French telecommunications group Orange Group registered a turnover of 10,823 million euros in the whole of the third quarter of 2022, which is equivalent to an increase of 3% compared to the same period of 2021, while in comparable terms it advanced 1 %, as reported by the company on Tuesday.

The firm has highlighted the importance of the Spanish market in the group's results. The CEO, Christel Heydemann, has underlined that the simplification process in Spain, the stabilization of the customer base and the launch of more offers for higher spending customers "have made it possible to reverse the negative trend of previous years and return to growth for the first time since the first quarter of 2019".

By geographical areas, revenues in France contracted by 0.4%, to 4,465 million, while in the rest of Europe they increased by 7%, to 2,764 million euros. The turnover in Africa and the Middle East was 1,782 million euros, 7.9%.

The business of services to companies experienced a year-on-year growth of 2.3% in the third quarter, to 1,906 million euros, while international and shared services contracted by 3.5%, to 378 million. Totem, the tower division of the company, had a turnover of 168 million, without comparison with a year earlier.

In the first nine months of the current year, the teleco entered 32,120 million euros, which is equivalent to raising billing by 2.4% compared to a year earlier.

Orange's gross operating profit after rentals (Ebtidal) improved by 0.9% in the third quarter, to 3,582 million, while up to September it reached 9,515 million euros, 1.4% more.
