The company targets a "strong growth" of Ebitda for 2023

MADRID, 16 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Orange Spain has billed 4,647 million euros in 2022, 1.5% less than in the previous year, although the company has posted its second consecutive quarter of revenue growth in the last three months of the year.

The firm has recorded a growth of 1.9% between October and December to 1,204 million euros, driven by equipment sales, which have skyrocketed by 15.5%.

On the other hand, the firm has suffered a drop in adjusted gross operating profit (EBITDal) of 4% in the year for a total of 1,111 million euros.

In this magnitude, the improvement trend is repeated as the year progresses, since it has gone from falling 6.7% in the first half of the year to 1.5% in the second, thanks to the deployment of its plan cost savings and reformulation of the B2B market.

For this reason, the firm has set itself the objective of "strong growth" of this magnitude, indicative of the profitability of operations, by 2023.

The company has also managed to increase its convergent ARPU (monthly payment per customer) by 2% in anticipation of the price increase that will take effect in March. Likewise, its investments in Capex have been 863 million euros, 9.1% less than in the previous year.

As for the number of customers, the firm ended the year with 33,000 net mobile contract registrations and 8,000 fiber optic customers, although it has lost 20,000 convergent packages.

By business segments, the retail business fell 1.9% throughout the year to contribute 3,136 million euros to the group, while the wholesale business fell 2.4% to 878 million euros.

For its part, after the double-digit growth in the last quarter, sales of equipment, where electronic devices mainly come in, closed the year positively with 1.7% higher revenues to total 632 million euros.
