Danault unleashed a powerful slap shot to surprise Samuel Ersson and get his 12th of the campaign, in the first period. The native of Victoriaville thus concluded the year 2022 having amassed at least one point in his last seven games.

Danault's efforts did not deter John Tortorella's troupe, however. Owen Tippett hit the target with an accurate shot in the top half in the second period to tie the game, before seeing Noah Cates do the same in the third period, thanks to traffic in front of goaltender Jonathan Quick. even though the Flyers were playing outnumbered.

Cates, Tippett and Scott Laughton all finished the game with a goal and an assist in the winning half.

Thanks to this victory, the Flyers now have 33 points in the standings, the same number of points as the Montreal Canadiens in the Eastern Conference.

The Pennsylvania State team will enjoy a day of rest before taking on the Ducks on Monday in Anaheim.
