Several road work projects to slow things up Tuesday and Wednesday in the metro area.

First, PBOT advises that a road repair project will close travel lanes on Southwest Broadway at Alder Street downtown Tuesday through 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15. One travel lane will remain open in each direction. Watch for signs, flaggers and other traffic control devices.

BEAVERTON ROAD WORK 9 a.m.; Utility Work at intersection of Southwest Farmington Road and Murray Boulevard 9 a.m.-noon today. Expect delays.

GLENN JACKSON BRIDGE 6:50 a.m.; Crash blocks the left lane I-205 southbound on the bridge. Traffic backing up to Mill Plain Boulevard.

A contractor is paving Northwest Sundial Road north of Northwest Graham Road near the Troutdale Airport through Wednesday, February 15, (weather permitting).  One lane is closed for paving while flaggers direct traffic through the open lane.  Allow extra time and expect delays.

Southeast Clackamas Road is closed between Brandeis Street and 98th Avenue for the installation of a sewer main. The road is closed 8 a.m. Tuesday morning through 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16.

In better news, Northwest Thompson Road has reopened to traffic after a slide closed it last week. The closure was between Cornell Road and Skyline Boulevard.

Reminder: In Washington County, half of the Gales Creek Bridge will be removed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday Feb 14, as part of a larger construction project. Flaggers will direct traffic but expect delays up to 20 minutes. The current project will replace the existing bridge with a longer, wider structure that will be built above the flood plain and include two 12-foot wide travel lanes with shoulders to accommodate cyclists and farm equipment.
