Prosegur earns 63 million until September, 5% less, but increases its sales by 7%

Prosegur recorded a net profit of 63 million euros during the first nine months of this year, which represents a decrease of 5% compared to the same period in 2022, while the consolidated net result, discounting minority interests, stood at 51 million euros, 0.6% less, as the company reported this Tuesday to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

Between January and September, Prosegur achieved sales of 3,368 million euros, which represents a growth of 7% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Regarding the profitability of operations, Ebita stood at 234 million euros, which represents an improvement of 12.4%, while the Ebita margin advanced to 7%.

Prosegur recorded an operating cash flow of 154 million euros, improving the result obtained until the third quarter of 2022 by 29.4%, while the net financial debt at the end of September reached 1,251 million euros.

The company highlighted in a press release that it experienced an "extraordinary" quarter, with an increase in revenue in all geographic areas and "strong" organic growth in all its businesses, rising 32.4% as a whole.

By business lines, Prosegur Security, the surveillance and technology business, achieved sales of 1,652 million euros until September 2023, which represents an increase in revenue of 9%, mainly supported by the United States, Spain and Brazil.

Prosegur Cash, for its part, reported sales of 1,498 million euros from January to September 2023, 5.7% more compared to the same period of the previous year, while the alarm activity, Prosegur Alarms, has closed in the first nine months of the year with a total connection base that already exceeds 854,000, an increase of 9% compared to the first nine months of 2022.

Of the total connections, 478,000 correspond to Movistar Prosegur Alarmas and 377,000 to Prosegur Alarms, which groups all operations outside of Spain. Prosegur Alarms has recorded sales of 140 million euros, 1.1% less.

Prosegur AVOS, the business line specialized in process outsourcing and digital transformation for the financial and insurance sector, has reported growth of 8.4%, up to 68 million euros in the first nine months of 2023.
