Ontarians are invited to elect their MLAs on Thursday, during the province's 43rd general election.
More than 10 million registered voters are expected at polling stations that are open between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. EST, according to Elections Ontario.
The provincial agency reminds voters who have applied to vote by mail can return their completed kit in person to their polling station before 6 p.m.
Certain sanitary measures are maintained during this election, while voters are called upon to maintain a physical distance, but wearing a mask is optional.
People with symptoms of COVID-19 will be able to vote outside polling stations, the provincial agency said.
"Polls are open across the province today and election officials are ready to help make voting safe and easy for all Ontarians," said Greg Essensa, Chief Electoral Officer of the 'Ontario.
“I encourage all electors who have not yet voted to go out and vote in Ontario's 43rd general election,” added Essensa.
