They promise to connect Zaragoza with France by train and make several references to the promotion of transport in the Valencian Community

PSOE and Sumar have included in their Government formation agreement the extension of discounts on transport passes to the entire year 2024, as they are currently designed in co-financing with the autonomous communities and city councils.
The acting Government has already introduced up to 1,440 million euros in its 2024 budget plan to finance these measures, mainly 600 million for free Cercanías and Media Distancia services and 760 million for discounts of up to 50% on transport. of regional or local jurisdiction.
In any case, the agreement between the two parties regarding a possible investiture also clarifies that it is a temporary measure, since it ensures that "later" it will continue to apply, but only for "certain groups."
After the elimination of the commitment to introduce tolls on highways by 2024, PSOE and Sumar do not make any reference to roads, limiting themselves to pointing out that they will approve a mesh infrastructure law so that communication networks are deployed "in a mesh manner throughout the territory and not in a radial way".
Likewise, in line with its promise to Brussels to promote the railway sector to counteract the negative effects on sustainability of not putting tolls on highways, the agreement positions the railway as "a more efficient and less polluting alternative."
"A sustainable freight transport system will be promoted, using unique load breaking centers and the development of rail corridors connected to ports and logistics centers," they promised.
Another of the main novelties in this area is its commitment to reopen the line that connects Zaragoza with Pau, in France, through Canfranc, something that both countries are already working on.
They also refer to the Mediterranean and Atlantic Corridors, ensuring that they will promote them, especially the Bobadilla-Algeciras connection due to its "strategic component", and the Sagunto-Zaragoza-Bilbao connection, as "priority railway axes for the Valencian railway connection".
In addition to this reference, PSOE and Sumar once again wink at the Valencian Community (Compromís is one of the parties within Sumar), defending that they will expand and modernize the Valencian Cercanías network and the Alicante-Murcia line, committing to connect the Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport with the cities of Elche and Alicante.
