Nearly 2,110 hospitalizations related to COVID-19 were listed for Thursday in Quebec, a level that had not been reached since the beginning of last May.

As of May 2, 2022, 2,119 people occupied a link in hospitals in the province, according to data from the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec (INSPQ).

These are 53 additional patients who find themselves hospitalized Thursday compared to the day before, while two more Quebecers entered intensive care, for a total of 57.

La Belle Province also reported 2,149 new cases detected by PCR tests and 613 positive rapid tests that were self-reported. Twenty additional deaths were also recorded.

As for the health network, 7,349 workers are absent for reasons related to the virus.
