It will pay an interim dividend of 0.2727 euros in January, a figure similar to that of last year

Redeia -former Red Eléctrica Group- obtained a net profit of 551.45 million euros in the first nine months of the year, which represents a figure practically in line (0.1%) with the 550.81 million for the same period of previous year, the company reported to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

The company highlighted that this result, in line with its forecasts, "is mainly linked to the good performance of international electricity transmission operations."

For its part, Redeia's gross operating profit (Ebitda) stood at 1,182.3 million euros as of September, 2.1% more than that obtained in the first nine months of 2021.

Likewise, the board of directors of the energy company has agreed to distribute an interim dividend of 0.2727 euros, a figure similar to that distributed last year, on January 9.

The turnover of the group chaired by Beatriz Corredor, which also includes the electricity network operator in Spain in its business, amounted to 1,523.03 million euros from January to September, with an increase of 3.9% after showing growth in all businesses.

Thus, income (turnover and results of investee companies) stood at 1,554.8 million euros, 4.8% above the figure recorded from January to September 2021.

The group highlighted that this data shows growth in all businesses, but especially highlights the evolution of international electricity activity and the satellite and fiber optic business.

Specifically, the income of the group's international subsidiary, Redinter, experienced an increase of 60.4%, due to the execution of projects in Peru and Chile, due to the contribution in Brazil of the results of Argo after the commissioning of ARGO II and the acquisition of Argo IV, and due to the update of the remuneration parameters and the favorable effect of the exchange rate.

For its part, in the field of telecommunications, the group's satellite subsidiary, Hispasat, recorded higher sales amounting to 6.3 million euros and 18.1 million euros due to changes in the accounting scope.

INCREASES ITS INVESTMENTS BY ALMOST 39%.

With regard to investments, until September the figure reached 484.9 million euros, 38.9% higher than that made in the previous year.

In this sense, he highlighted the investment by Red Eléctrica destined to the development of the transmission network in Spain, which has been 272.2 million euros, 9.3% higher than the first nine months of 2021.

In the telecommunications activity, the investment in the satellite business has incorporated 118 million euros for the acquisition of the satellite company Axess Networks, an operation carried out last August. For its part, investment in fiber optics in the first nine months of the year was slightly higher than that made in the previous year.

In addition, 22.3 million have been allocated to other investments that include infrastructure for the group and investments developed by Elewit, Redeia's technological platform.

Meanwhile, Redeia's net financial debt as of September 30 stood at 4,398.1 million euros, 22.1% lower than the 5,647.8 million euros at the end of 2021, mainly driven by the result of the sale of a 49% stake in its fiber optic subsidiary, Reintel, to KKR, which will allow it to strengthen its own funds to face the challenges of the ecological transition.
