Repsol has agreed, following a favorable report from the Appointments Committee, the appointment of Pablo Blanco Pérez as secretary and legal adviser to the board of directors, who will also assume the position of General Director of Legal Affairs, the company informed the National Commission of the Market of Securities (CNMV).

Blanco replaces Luis Suárez de Lezo, a history of the oil company for almost two decades, who has formalized his resignation from his positions as director and secretary as secretary of the board of directors.

Repsol left "expressly on record its gratitude" to Suárez de Lezo for "his extraordinary contribution" as a director of the company since 2005 and for "the magnificent work" carried out during the years in which he was in charge of the general secretariat.

Blanco, appointed General Director of Legal Affairs and member of Repsol's Executive Committee in March, replacing Miguel Klingenberg in the post, effective this May, has an extensive professional career of more than twenty years.

He joined Repsol in 2005 as Director of Regulation and Competition and, since 2008, he has led the Legal department of the Exploration and Production business, with significant international exposure and advising the business on various transnational agreements, investment and divestment operations, as well as as in international litigation and arbitration.
