During a hearing Thursday in San Juan, a judge lifted the temporary restraining order against Martin because there is "nothing criminal" against him, according to Puerto Rico police spokesman Axel Valencia.

At the request of Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, a restraining order was issued on July 1 for domestic violence.

Mr. Sanchez and Mr. Martin were said to have been in a romantic relationship for seven months and it was said to have ended two months before the restraining order was sought. According to the allegations, Ricky Martin was physically and psychologically abusive towards his nephew at the time of their affair.

"Mr. Sanchez confirmed in court that his decision to drop the allegations was his own and that he had no outside pressure to take it,” said Joaquín Monserrate Matienzo, Carmelo Dávila and Harry Massanet Pastrana.
