This is what he said recently in an interview made available by the Twitter account of the Fan Controlled Football circuit. “No, don't expect to see me play. Obviously we live for sports, but you can't play forever. I believe I am an excellent athlete who has done everything in football,” he said.

Brown, 33, said earlier this month he hoped to retire as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team for which he had 11,207 passing yards from 2010 to 2018. The sevenfold Pro Bowl guest played his last meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Jan. 2, leaving the field midway through the third quarter. The Florida organization fired him shortly after, while he justified his action by mentioning that the “Bucs” had forced him to play despite an injury.

The veteran had joined the Buccaneers in 2020, winning the Super Bowl in that campaign's playoffs.
