A driver suffered serious injuries Friday evening in a collision with two other vehicles on Route 224 in Saint-Simon, Montérégie.

It was while resuming the road after a mandatory stop at the intersection of rang St-Georges that she hit a car around 5:15 p.m., said Catherine Bernard, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

A third vehicle was involved in the accident and sustained damage.

The driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

An OPP Collision Investigator attended the scene to try to determine the circumstances of the accident.
