Santander will distribute this Wednesday a cash dividend of 0.0583 euros per share, on account of the 2022 result, which means distributing a total of 979 million euros among all its shareholders.

This amount means distributing approximately 20% of the ordinary profit that the group recorded in the first half of the year.

The last day of negotiation of the share with the right to collect said interim dividend was October 28. Thus, the stock traded ex-dividend since yesterday, October 31, and the record date is this Tuesday, November 1.

The entity distributes this dividend in application of its current shareholder remuneration policy consisting of a total remuneration target of around 40% of the group's ordinary profit, distributed approximately equally between the cash dividend and share repurchases.

With regard to the repurchase of shares, the bank intends to implement another program for the purchase of own securities to which the remaining 20% ​​of the benefit of that 40% 'pay out' would be allocated, that is, which would mean an amount of 979 million euros. The entity will initiate this repurchase once it has obtained the pertinent regulatory authorization.
