The Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, will travel this Thursday, May 16, between Madrid and A Coruña on one of the new high-speed trains of the Renfe series 106, which Talgo began to deliver at the end of April with Avril's trade name.

The train will depart at 7:30 a.m. from the Chamartín Clara Campoamor station in Madrid and will stop in Ourense, Santiago de Compostela and A Coruña, as reported by the Ministry in a graphic call for the press.

The journey is part of the commercial simulation trips that Renfe is carrying out in preparation for the commissioning of the new trains on May 21 between the Spanish capital and Galicia and Asturias.

These commercial simulations, which are carried out in order to measure, simulate, practice and verify all the phases of the commercial exploitation itself, began at the end of April on the Madrid-Asturias route and return, with stops in Segovia, Valladolid, Palencia , León and Oviedo.

Other tests have also been carried out with travelers on the route between Madrid and Vigo and return, with stops in Zamora, Ourense, Santiago de Compostela, Vilagarcía and Pontevedra.

Renfe has already trained its driving and intervention staff on board to put the new AVE S106 into service in Asturias, although these commercial simulation trips are part of the usual process of launching a new service with all its components, to face the day-to-day life of these journeys with travelers on board.

The journey is made with the new Talgo trains model S106 (Avril), with movable treads, suitable for traveling on routes between Madrid and Galicia and Asturias. They are trains that offer more than 500 seats and have features such as a cafeteria on board and touch screens in all seats. The distribution of its twelve cars is between comfort seats, with a 2 2, and 3 2 seating arrangement.
