Soltec Power and Enel Green Power España, Endesa's renewables subsidiary, have signed an agreement for the creation of a solar tracker manufacturing center in the province of Teruel (Aragon), as reported by Soltec to the National Market Commission on Monday. of Securities (CNMV).

This center will use the warehouses and facilities of the old thermal power station of Andorra, in Teruel, and will create some 40 permanent jobs in the province, Soltec explained in a statement.

"We are very proud that Endesa has chosen us as an industrial partner for a project like this, which will allow us to supply our solar trackers for the future project of Mudéjar de Andorra (Teruel)", stressed the CEO of Soltec, Raúl Morales.

Morales added that in the current macroeconomic and geopolitical context, "it is more necessary than ever to locate the production centers in the European Union."

Soltec began working with Endesa in 2014 and today its collaboration reaches eight countries and totals more than 4 gigawatts (GW) in projects. For the Mudéjar de Andorra project, in Teruel, both companies have worked together for more than two years.

Endesa, through its renewable subsidiary Enel Green Power Spain, presented its future plan for the Andorra megaproject a few days ago after winning the tender called by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.

Endesa's complete plan, which combines new renewable capacity with a hybridization of technologies, projects with green hydrogen and a synchronous compensator, is accompanied by a socioeconomic development plan in the area that will create more than 6,300 jobs, generating more than 370 direct permanent jobs for the operation of the facilities.
