Spanish listed companies distributed 23,341 million euros in dividends between January and October of this year, 15.7% more compared to the same period in 2022, according to data from Spanish Stock Exchanges and Markets (BME).

In this way, the listed companies are close to exceeding the volume distributed in all of 2022, when they distributed 25,964 million euros, more so taking into account that on November 2, two large listed companies, Santander and Telefónica, distributed 1,310 million and 1,869 million to their shareholders. million respectively.

If only the month of October is taken into account, the Spanish listed companies distributed a total of 1,024.7 million euros, 15.1% more than the same month of 2022.

It should be noted that a large part of this amount has been paid by BBVA, which on October 11 distributed a cash dividend of around 950 million euros among its shareholders.

However, the October distribution is below what companies distributed in April, with 5,724 million euros, or July with 7,244.81 million euros.
