TaxDown closes a round of 5.8 million in which Mediaset and Atresmedia enter

MADRID, 22 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The 'fintech' TaxDown, specialized in income tax returns, has closed a new round of financing of 5.8 million euros in which the audiovisual groups Atresmedia and Mediaset have participated, as reported this Wednesday in a statement.

The round comes a year after the company raised 5.5 million euros. The firm has not indicated the valuation at which this round has closed.

In addition to the audiovisual groups, the Base10 and JME Ventures funds have also participated. Likewise, the public entity Enisa has also participated in the financing of the company.

Since its launch in 2019, TaxDown has managed €350 million in taxes for one million users. In addition, it has helped them save 50 million euros in total.

Looking ahead to 2023, the company plans to launch annual subscription plans tailored to each user, as well as preparing cryptocurrency profit and loss tax reports.

"Our goal this year is to reach two million users and strengthen our presence in Latin America. Therefore, this new round of financing will help us to continue improving the product and continue to grow both in Spain and Mexico and help all taxpayers that their income presentation is well done thanks to the best mix between technology and human resources", indicated the CEO and co-founder of TaxDown, Enrique García.
