u.s. Senate and House of representatives have adopted, respectively on Monday 11 September and Tuesday 12 September, a resolution rejecting "white nationalism" and " white supremacy ". The two chambers have adopted text unanimously every time.

The resolution was designed to officially condemn violence of Charlottesville, on 12 August, during which a protester anti-racist, Hear Heyer, was killed by a driver barreling into crowd, and 19 people were injured.

This text, in form of a challenge, is now on desk of Donald Trump, who has choice between approve, in enacting of his signature, or veto m. It can also do nothing, in which case resolution shall be considered promulgated at end of ten days.

Violence in Charlottesville

The city of Virginia has been venue for two days of violent confrontation between Ku Klux Klan and militant white-supremacist, who opposed déboulonnage of a statue of a confederate general, and many counter-demonstrators, on or hand.

Donald Trump had stirred anger among us political class, including in his camp, republican, by a comment ambivalent a few days after. While condemning white supremacist and neo-nazis, he said that re were wrongs –but also to people "very well" – " from both sides ". The president spoke of " antifas ", militant anti-fascist and sometimes violent.

But mps failed to cite a single side in ir resolution. They explicitly ask president to denounce racist groups, extremist, xenophobic, anti-semitic and supporters of supremacy of "race" white and engage in all means available to government in fight against se groups, including neo-nazis and KKK.
