The back was tipped as the best hope of his vintage by the Recruitment Support Center of the Courteau circuit.

In his only season in the U18 AAA Hockey Development League, the 16-year-old athlete blacked the score sheet 21 times in 36 games. He added six points in as many playoff games.

The Victoriaville Tigres then opted for 15-year-old goaltender Gabriel D'Aigle, from the Saint-Hyacinthe Gauls. In 24 games in 2021-22, he went 15-9 with a 2.59 goals-against average and .919 save percentage.

The Saguenéens completed the top 3 of the 2022 edition of the QMJHL Draft by acquiring forward Maxim Massé from the Collège Notre-Dame Albatros. The latter had a whole 2021-2022 season, with a harvest of 43 points in 40 games.
