The first AVE leaves Murcia four minutes late due to a fault in a baggage control machine

MURCIA, 20 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The first commercial AVE trip from Murcia to Madrid left early this Tuesday morning four minutes late with respect to the scheduled time, due to a failure in a baggage control machine.

The convoy was scheduled to leave at 6:25 a.m. on track two bound for Chamartín (Madrid) and was unable to do so until a few minutes later due to the failure of one of the two baggage control machines.

The train departed with 302 passengers from Murcia, to which 15 were added in Orihuela (Alicante) and 26 in Elche (Alicante), with which 343 passengers traveled to the Spanish capital. Taking into account that up to 354 passengers can travel on each journey, the convoy was practically complete.

According to Renfe sources, on this first day 2,100 passengers will travel on this line, of which 1,900 have origin-destination in Murcia.

It must be remembered that Renfe launched a promotional sale of 30,000 tickets for this line at a price of 19 euros each way.
