The Government distributes 90 million in aid in the first call for Moves Singulares II

MADRID, 24 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE) announced this Monday the results of the first call for the Moves Singulares II program, which has awarded 90 million euros, out of a total budget of 100 million, in aid to 82 projects linked to the promotion of innovation throughout the electromobility value chain.

At the first call for Moves Singulares II, which was open between September 25 and November 25, 2021 and to which all kinds of companies, universities and private research and development centers could apply, 175 projects worth of 386 million euros. Of these, 144 were admitted and, in total, they required 263 million euros.

Of the 82 projects, 29 are linked to recharging infrastructures, hydroelectric plants and integration of smart networks; 23 are associated with the development of new processes and prototypes of models and components for electric cars; 21 linked to information and communication technologies (ICT) and 9 have to do with the development of batteries and electrical storage.

In this sense, the selected projects will be developed in 14 different autonomous communities, specifically: Catalonia (21), Madrid (16), Andalusia (8), Castilla-La Mancha (6), Galicia (5), the Basque Country (5 ), the Balearic Islands (4), Castilla y León (4), Aragón (4), the Valencian Community (3), Extremadura (2), Cantabria (2), Navarra (1) and Asturias (1).

44% of the beneficiary projects of this aid correspond to small companies, 32% to large companies, 22% to medium-sized companies and the other 2% to the public sector. Thus, 66% of the projects fall within the SME typology.

Government estimates suggest that these projects will promote the creation of 1,300 jobs and an investment of 217 million euros, in addition to avoiding the emission of 11,500 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere per year.

As reported on Monday by the IDAE, the second call for Moves Singulares II (endowed with 264 million euros) will be open until November 24 and all kinds of companies and research centers can apply to it.

The Secretary of State for Energy, Sara Aagesen, has highlighted that the fact that the amount of the second call is double that of the first is due to the "appetite" shown by the companies around this aid program.

Applications to opt for this program must be processed through the electronic headquarters of the IDAE.

The funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) will be allocated to innovative projects by Spanish companies that, with a minimum investment of 100,000 euros, promote the technological leap towards electric and fuel cell vehicles.

The aid for these unique and innovative projects will be 40% of eligible costs, and will increase by 10 percentage points for medium-sized companies and 20% in the case of micro and small companies.

This program complements the rest of the Moves ecosystem calls for the deployment of electric mobility in Spain, made up of the Moves III program, aid for the acquisition of hybrid or electric vehicles and the installation of recharging points, and the Moves Flotas for the substitution of fleets of combustion vehicles for hybrid or electric models.
