The Ibex 35 has started the session this Wednesday with a drop of 0.24%, which has led the selective to lose the level of 9,400 points after closing yesterday at 9,411.1 integers.

Specifically, the Madrid selective began the session at 9,392.18 points, in a day in which investors will again be aware of the president of the United States Federal Reserve (Fed), Jerome Powell, who in addition to ensuring yesterday in his appearance in the Senate that the US central bank will accelerate its rate hikes if inflation does not subside, this Wednesday he could return to discuss the Fed's position in a new meeting in Congress.

Likewise, the president of the European Central Bank (ECB), Christine Lagarde, could also reveal some clues about whether there will be another rise in interest rates, after affirming yesterday that the institution she directs will take the necessary measures to subdue inflation until the 2% target.

In the early stages of this Wednesday's session, the biggest increases in the Ibex 35 were recorded by Endesa (3.20%), Amadeus (0.90%), ACS (0.37%) and Indra (0.13% ), while on the opposite side were Grifols (-1.28%), BBVA (-0.99%), Acerinox (-0.78%) and Santander (-0.64%).

The rest of the European stock markets also opened with falls: London lost 0.27%, Frankfurt 0.15%, while Paris and Milan lost 0.30%.

Likewise, the price of a barrel of Brent quality oil, a reference for the Old Continent, stood at 83 dollars, with a decrease of 0.35%, while Texas was trading at 77.19 dollars, 0.5%. less.

In the foreign exchange market, the price of the euro against the dollar stood at 1.0543 'green bills', while in the debt market, the interest required on the ten-year bond fell to 3.744%.
